This website is now powered by WordPress. All the sites I maintain use this tool. Some advantages of using WordPress are: It’s very easy to modify the menu structure It has some neat tools (i.e. plug-ins) to enhance the content of the website. For example,  a Calendar can be added to a site with little effort. I believe with a little training, folks who are not very computer savvy will be able to add Calendar events and Blog post to the site. Michigan Fishing – Oct. 2011

This Michigan fishing trip was the result of one of our Trout Unlimited chapter members winning it in a raffle sponsored by the Georgia Council of TU. This second place prize was a week’s stay at a cabin at Schmidt Outfitters in Wellston, MI. Rodger, who won the prize, gave it back to our chapter as a fund raiser. Since my sister and brother-in-law live in Kalamazoo, MI, and Sonny is an avid fly fisherman, I bid on the trip and won. I flew into Grand Rapids from Atlanta on Saturday morning. In Memory of Brandy

Although I’ve predated this post, it’s been six months since our Lab Brandy left this world. It’s still tough to write this since she was such a great house pet and hunting partner. She loved everyone and thought everyone loved her which meant she was not a watchdog. At times she demanded attention but would also get lost in her own world. Unlike our other female dogs she had a much bigger territorial range. She would take long walks in the Frog Hollow area, I think mainly to steal food.
